GM in Indonesia auto industry

Sole distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in Indonesia, PT. General Motors Auto World Indonesia (GMAW) postponed to improve GM's plant in Pondok Cipher, Bekasi (East Jakarta). Plant Improvement Plan is deferred until 2011.

Mr. Muki Sutikno, managing director of GM Autoworld Indonesia said that the reason for plant improvement Bekasi GM postpones AWI is still looking for financial support from regional banks or finance.

The factory Pondok Cipher begin assembling a new Chevrolet models multipurpose vehicle (MPV) after the upgrade is completed in 2011.

Mazda in Indonesia auto industry

PT. Mazda Motor of Indonesia declared the end of a factory in Thailand, the Mazda2 will be the entrance to the Indonesia auto industry soon, at least later this year. Mazda alleged fuel logs 11.23 kilometers / liter (crossing the city), 17.8 km / liter (outside the city) and 14.7 km / liter (combination).
